Re-starting after a gap in treatment

If you are continuing your treatment with MedExpress but have had a gap since your last order, please see the guidance below:

 

Time since last injection Which dose should I order?*
Less than 4 weeks The same as your previous dose or the next dose up.

For example, if less than 4 weeks have passed since your last injection with Mounjaro and your previous dose was a 5 mg order from medexpress, you have two options:

  1. Continue with the same 5 mg dose: If you experienced positive results and minimal side effects during your previous 5 mg Mounjaro treatment, maintaining the same dose may be appropriate.

  2. Increase to the next available dose: If you tolerated the 5 mg dose well and would like to potentially enhance your weight loss results, you could consider increasing to the next available dose of 7.5 mg.
Between 4 and 8 weeks The same as your previous dose

For example, if between 4 to 8 weeks have passed since your last 5 mg dose of Mounjaro for medexpress, it is recommended that you continue with the same 5 mg dose when ordering from our practice.
More than 8 weeks

If it’s been more than 8 weeks after your last dose, you must restart at the lowest dose. 

 

*Please note, our guidance is on the basis your last dose was well tolerated. We would advise maintaining or decreasing dosage if this is not the case.
